It took us four years to build our dream — and today, Pebble Pediatric Dentistry is proud to be a family-owned and operated, five-star-rated practice serving families across Oregon and the Willamette Valley. Every corner of our light, bright, and modern office was thoughtfully designed with children in mind, from infants to teens, to make every visit feel comfortable, welcoming, and fun.
The story of our building and our office begins with the story of Pebble Pediatric Dentistry. Years ago, while visiting Vancouver, BC, Dr. Post and her husband were inspired to follow Sarah’s dream of practicing pediatric dentistry in her hometown of McMinnville — the place where she grew up, went to school, played, and built lifelong friendships, and where her family still lives. [x] At the time, they were living in Portland, but the vision of coming home and raising their family in McMinnville took root.
Amazingly, not long after, a prime piece of land on Lafayette Avenue came on the market. Dr. Post and her husband quickly purchased it, knowing it was the perfect spot to bring their vision to life. They wanted a light, bright, modern, and clean office — but one that would also complement the charm of McMinnville and the surrounding Oregon Wine Country. After much research, they decided the best approach was to design the building themselves. Sarah’s husband learned AutoCAD and 3D rendering, and together they laid out every square inch of the building. Dr. Post spent countless hours measuring operatories, visiting other practices, and fine-tuning the ideal size and layout for each space.
Because the lot size put limits on the building’s footprint, every square inch had to be maximized for both function and comfort. The same attention to detail extended to the property’s exterior — every inch of the lot was engineered for the best use. Along the way, some of the office’s most creative interior features began as sketches on napkins, inspired by conversations with friends and brought to life in the plans. Once the design and rooflines were finalized, construction began — a process that took nearly two years.
By the time the building was complete, Dr. Post and her husband had not only built Pebble Pediatric Dentistry, but had also expanded their family, welcoming their daughter — and their beloved dog, Canine, who now comes to the office almost every day (though, like all of us, sometimes even a dog needs a day off). The practice opened its doors as a warm, welcoming space with TVs on the ceilings for kids, an 85-inch screen in the lobby playing favorite family-friendly movies, comfortable sofas, soft carpet, and bright, cheerful operatories with child-specific features.
From day one, Pebble Pediatric Dentistry has been — and continues to be — a local, family-owned and operated practice. You’ll not only see Dr. Post caring for patients every day, but you’ll often find her husband managing the technology that keeps Pebble running smoothly, including our website. Our journey has been one of passion, dedication, and a belief that following your dreams — paired with hard work and determination — can create something truly special.
